History & Overview
West Shore Medical Private Hospital was founded in 2004, by a team of visionary doctors who saw the need to enhance the availability of healthcare in Trinidad and Tobago. A hospital that blended state-of-the-art medical amenities and expert doctors, with patient-driven compassionate care for both local and international patients.
Over the years, West Shore has grown into a leading multidisciplinary facility, including an Intensive Care Unit, Step Down Unit and a Cardiac Care Unit. Which means we are well-equipped to offer advanced services in cardiology, neurosurgery, orthopaedics, gynaecology, and general surgery. More importantly our mission remains the same; to provide safe, high-quality, and affordable healthcare in a congenial setting where every patient is supported and nurtured.
We are just minutes from downtown Port of Spain, along the Western Main Road in Cocorite, at the foothills of the Northern Range, overlooking the Gulf of Paria. This location offers a pleasingly relaxed environment, with calming sea views and beautiful sunsets, all of which promote the healing process.
