What are your operating hours?
Our Accident & Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For other departments (clinics, outpatient services), you may contact the hospital directly for specific hours.
How do I schedule appointments?
You can reach out via phone, email, or web form to request an appointment. When you contact us, include your preferred specialist, availability, and purpose of visit. The hospital’s clinic offices are staffed by specialist practitioners.
What insurance do you accept?
We accept pre-certified insurance (arrangements should be made at least two weeks before admission).
Is your Accident & Emergency department open 24/7?
Yes, our Accident & Emergency Department is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and equipped to handle urgent medical and surgical complaints.
Where is your hospital located and how can I get directions?
Just minutes from downtown Port of Spain, off the westbound lane of the Cocorite highway, set against the foothills of the Northern Range overlooking the Gulf of Paria. For maps and route guidance, visitors often use navigation services such as Waze.
Do you have an on-site pharmacy?
Yes, there is a pharmacy located on the hospital grounds, so you don’t have to run elsewhere to fill prescriptions.
What diagnostic services do you offer?
Diagnostic services are available on site – bloodworks, radiology services, catherisation services, as well as non-invasive cardiac testing.
Do you provide intensive care / coronary care services?
Yes, we offer intensive care (ICU), high dependency, ventilation, continuous monitoring, and coronary care services, all maintained at varying levels with a high nurse-to-patient ratio.
Can I pre-certify or verify insurance coverage before coming in?
Yes, insurance coverage should be pre-certified. You must notify your insurer at least two weeks before admission, and the insurer should write to the hospital confirming the coverage.
Is there parking available on campus?
Yes, the hospital includes parking facilities on site.
What is your patient guide / what services are included for patients?
The hospital provides a Patient Guide which outlines all accommodation services, customer care facilities, and what to expect during your stay or procedure.
