Hospital insurance information at West Shore Private Hospital

Insurance Pre-Certification

To assist our clients in managing their finances we accept pre-certification from an approved list of insurance providers.

It is recommended that you meet with your insurance provider at least seven (7) days prior to your admission.  Pre-certification for emergency cases is also feasible; it is important you are familiar with your providers hotline contacts and protocols.

All pre-certifications are to be emailed to front-office@westshorett.org.

Local Insurance Providers

We accept precertification from all local insurance providers.

International Insurance Providers

To confirm if your provider is accepted, please contact our Front Office or Accounts Department prior to your visit.

Pre-Certification Requirements

Most insurance companies require pre-certification before any elective surgery, inpatient stay, or major diagnostic procedure.

Here’s how to ensure a smooth approval process:

Contact your insurance company at least two (2) weeks before your scheduled procedure.

Provide them with details of your diagnosis, doctor, and procedure.

Request written confirmation or a Letter of Guarantee (LOG) from your provider.

Submit this documentation to the West Shore Admissions Department before your date of service.

Billing & Claims Process

After your discharge, our team prepares and submits your insurance claim directly to your provider (if applicable).
Please keep in mind:

  • Claims may take several weeks for processing.

  • Patients are responsible for any balance not covered by insurance.

  • You’ll receive a detailed statement outlining charges and payments applied.
