Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a specialised environment, with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to treating/managing patients with life-threatening conditions, and includes a high nurse-to-patient ratio as one of its hallmarks.
The ICU is for critically ill patients who require round-the-clock care with advanced and/or rapid medical intervention, close monitoring and sometimes the use of life support technology. It is supported by a team of highly trained, critical care practitioners including intensivists i.e. specialised physicians who lead the team, and ICU-certified and experienced nurses, who provide constant bedside attention, and respond quickly to changes in patients’ conditions.
It also includes:
- Ventilatory Support
- Coronary Care
- High-dependency Monitoring
- Invasive Monitoring
- Real-time Diagnostics and Laboratory Access
- Full Critical Care based on collaborations between Intensivists and the Multidisciplinary Teams
This calm, skilled, vigilant approach is tailored to each patient, thus ensuring that they each receive the exact care that is needed.
